Buenos Aries-born Ivo has been part of GBA since the beginning, working both as a model and behind the scenes in shareholder relations while studying Business Economics. But the 22-year-old is no ingenue – he has a whole other career behind him, having ‘retired’ from pro tennis after winning the Montpellier Open Tournament in 2017. Back in Buenos Aires, he says he’s living the life he always wanted.
What’s been your most significant turning point?
The first time I walked for Gaucho - Buenos Aires. I got to know the people behind the brand, which made me want to get more involved.
Do you think of yourself as an influencer?
Everybody can be an influencer! But yes – I want to encourage people to take risks and go for the things that they really love to do. If you’re happy in what you do, you’ll always be successful.
Describe your style…
Young and cool – black jeans with a Gaucho T-shirt, hoodie and hat. Haha, to be honest, I wear Gaucho every day – it’s cool, comfortable, and the quality is off the charts.
For evening, I usually wear boots, jeans, a dark shirt and a nice leather jacket.
Tell us your secret BA hangout…
The list is long! I like to go dancing at Jet and Tequila. For drinks, Presidente is always a good choice.

Where do you go to escape the city?
I love a weekend in San Rafael, Mendoza – it’s so peaceful – or the beautiful drive to the beach in Pinamar.
If you had 24 hours completely to yourself, what would you do?
Haha, that would be nice! I’d sleep a little bit, then have breakfast by the river. I’d make an asado (barbecue) for my friends, go sailing and watch the sunset, then catch a Boca game at La Bombonera.

Rap and trap, like Yanick, Duki; Andrea Bocelli; rock and reggaetón.
One thing you’ll always get out of bed for…
My grandmother’s scrambled eggs.
